The Agent License Online (ALO) Service has been developed to create a paperless insurance agent management system, significantly reducing the work pressure associated with digitally storing insurance agent information, managing all insurance agents, and handling the issuance and renewal of licenses. This system is designed to comply with the "Insurance Agent (Recruitment, Registration, and License) Regulations, 2021," ensuring that all related functions are executed efficiently and in line with regulatory standards. The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), along with 81 insurance companies, benefits from this database and technology-oriented support, which streamlines the entire process.
In the insurance sector, every company relies on a large number of Insurance Agents (policy sales representatives) to sell insurance policies to customers. These agents play a crucial role in activities related to both insurers' and policyholders' interests, including premium transactions.
Traditionally, IDRA has been responsible for various functions such as registration, data maintenance, and the control of all insurance agents. However, the manual execution of these tasks has led to numerous errors, complications, and significant time wastage. To address these challenges, the ALO Service has been implemented following the "Insurance Agent (Recruitment, Registration, and License) Regulations, 2021."
This digital solution not only streamlines the storage of insurance agent information but also enhances the control and oversight of all agents. It facilitates the efficient issuing and renewal of licenses, reducing the potential for errors and delays.Additionally, the ALO Service plays a crucial role in minimizing insurance agent fraudulence, ensuring a more secure and reliable system for the insurance industry.
